When I was starting my minimalist journey, one of the things that was hard to do was to define my personal style. This made me think a lot about all the things that I had bought and never worn because they didn't fit my identity.
I started by writing down what were the pieces that I most liked to wear and that I felt good in. The list was short, simple things were on the list, a black blazer, a white button down, a good pair of jeans.. and blouses, blouses were my favourite thing to wear.
After that I chose the colours that I had always worn and loved, dark blues, whites, greys, blacks. And then came the prints.. I don't really like prints that much so I just added a black and white print and a leopard print in my shoes. Oh and textures.. not a big lover of fur, but I knew that I liked flowy fabrics on my blouses, and I liked leather but not in pants, so a skirt was the best option.
By making this list I was able to see what were the pieces that defined my style, and it can all be summarized by this 8 pieces:
black blazer // simple pattern knit // white blouse // dark blue jeans
black jeans // dark blue blouse // ankle boots // black leather skirt
